Well, One has to give credit where it is due. Having been released from nuclear aparthied by the very same people who practiced it on us, let us celebrate. 

If indeed the govt has pulled off the NSG deal without giving away the right to Test when Necessary, the nation is indebted to

1)Manmohan Singh for seizing the opportunity,

2)the officials who saw the deal thro, 

3) Prakash Karat and the Left for playing the Bad Cop to MMS"s Good Cop which limited the pressure that any country could have put on India at deal table without the risk of India walking away,

3) also Amar Singh who  said that the deal came about only because of SP Support!(Psst.. Here is a secret from Amar Singh ….Dont spread please… they engineered the abstentions not only at the confidence vote (of BJP MPs)  but at the NSG too(China and a few other Countries)( CNN-IBN was not around this time round, having learnt the hard way by shooting itself on its foot).

4) Finally how can we forget George Bush for his phone calls and ‘bullying" as complained by a few soveriegn nations at the NSG. The man who squandered on Pakistan 10 Billion dollars that was used to wage war on India (So says Obama), now he had to have a feather in his cap after all his misadventures elsewhere. We thank you Bush for being lucky with you.

Only time will tell whether we need the bomb or not. Looking westward and the kind of simmering pot of nitro-glycerin there, I can only pray we never have to TEST this deal.
